Current beauty must-haves and why!
These are the products you'll find in my makeup bag at the moment, they're my absolute favorites! Why?
01 Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation in shade 3.5 ($39, Sephora): I usually don't wear foundation on an every day basis, because I don't feel that it's necessary. I stick to BB creams or tinted moisturizers. However, with Urban Decay being one of my favorite brands, I couldn't resist trying this out! Its the best foundation I've tried from Sephora and I've tried even higher end (Givenchy, Dior, Chanel etc.) I use it in conjunction with the Urban Decay Optical Blurring Brush which I HIGHLY recommend, and the results are flawless. I would say the coverage is medium-buildable and it DOES NOT cake. And you can't go wrong with the color selection!
Thought! Wanting to finally alter the overall feel of my existing blog. Insights about the sharp style of https://solidgarage.ca? Definitely an extraordinary Ontario based epoxy flooring expert if required inside the Ontario area. Write a comment. Appreciate it!
02 Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper ($18, Sephora): I will NEVER stop raving about this. I get questions all the time about how I get my winged eyeliner so perfect.... this is the answer. It has a brush tip applicator but if you prefer felt tip, there's a felt tip version as well. After months of use, it still doesn't dry out and the bristles keep their shape. Perfect!
03 Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette ($28, Sephora): Every girl needs this palette because it is so versatile! It has become a staple in my makeup bag because the colors are matte (except Venus, a highlight shade) and not too dark. However, you can use the last two colors, Faint and Crave, to deepen your look. I actually use Faint to fill in my eyebrows sometimes!
04 Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Creamy Natural (about $6, drugstores): This is one of the first powders I ever purchased years ago, and I still go back to it every time. It trumps high end powders for sure (I've tried Too Faced, UD, Makeup Forever, etc). I do have to re-apply throughout the day, but that's normal with any powder.
05 L'oreal Silkissime Eyeliner in Highlighter (about $8-10, drugstores): One word: PIGMENTATION! I'm always pleased with L'oreal products so I don't know why I was surprised... but the pigmentation, texture, and color of this pencil is beautiful. I use this on my inner corners and waterline to brighten my eyes.
06 L'oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes in Blackest Black (about $9, drugstores): At this point, I only use L'oreal mascaras because they work so well for me. The formula of this mascara is very dry which is something I prefer because I feel like that volumizes better. This mascara gives me thick doll lashes without looking over the top! If you prefer a wet formula, try their Voluminous Million Lashes mascara.
07 & 08 NARS Blush in Orgasm ($30, Sephora) and Physicians Formula Conceal Rx Concealer in Natural Light (about $10, drugstores): I put these products at the bottom because I don't wear them everyday but I reach for them when needed. NARS Orgasm is a perfect coral-y pink color! Its definitely pigmented so you don't need to use a lot, I just use a little on my Eco Tools Retractable Kabuki Brush. The Physicians Formula Concealer is a thick, full coverage concealer that I use on blemishes when I'm breaking out or under my eyes when I didn't get enough sleep. The color range fails miserably but luckily I'm very fair and the darkest color still matched me.
